I think the palace chairman has made a smart move by engineering his resignation. Allardyce is there to do a job - they maybe could have kept him another season to help steady things - but ultimately probably not who you what Long term

I would not be surprised if he goes back to Sunderland. Theyve most probably offered him a great fat bonus to get them promoted. He only left them for the England job.

I can't see Sams ego letting him drop into the Championship
And presume he has left Palace because he wanted a bigger pile of cash to spend.
Saw the other day he was supposedly keen on Sagna and Clichy from Man City. He bought Van Aanholt & Schlupp as full backs in January for about £27m and was obviously bored of them
Nowhere obvious that is a step up from Palace that he could get immediately comes to mind unless it's true he fancies Chinese money. And pints of rice wine
